Subscription

Which subscription should I choose?

evpass offers you two subscription types:

Non-member

CHF 0.-- / year

CHF 1.50 + CHF 0.50 / kWh

Member

CHF 59.00 / year

CHF 0.45 / kWh

The difference between these two subscription types is the rate you have to pay for charging your vehicle on the evpass network. For more information, please view the section, "How much does it cost?"

The Non-member subscription is for users who occasionally charge their vehicles on the evpass network. There is no annual fee, and you will be billed at a rate of CHF 1.50 + CHF 0.50 per kWh each time you charge your vehicle on the evpass network.

The Member subscription is advantageous if you charge at least 3 times a month on the evpass network. There is an annual fee of CHF 59.00, and you will be billed at a rate of CHF 0.45 per kWh each time you charge your vehicle on the evpass network.

SwissPass

If you have a SwissPass, you can use it to charge your vehicle at the charging stations in the evpass network.

Payment

How much does it cost?

The rates listed apply solely to evpass stations. Your subscription also gives you access to the stations of our partners, who are free to charge any rate they want. You can view the rate charged at each station via the station map, on the evpass website and in the mobile app.

Please note that parking costs are not included in the charging price.

Non-member

If you have chosen the "Non-member" subscription, you do not have to pay an annual fee.

Each time you charge your vehicle on the evpass network, you will be billed at a rate of CHF 1.50 + CHF 0.50 per kWh.

For example, for an 8kWh charging session, you will be billed 1.50 + (8 x 0.5) = 5.50.

Members

If you have chosen the "Member" subscription, your annual fee is CHF 59.00.

Each time you charge your vehicle on the evpass network, you will be billed at a rate of CHF 0.45 per kWh.

For example, for an 8kWh charging session, you will be billed 8 x 0.45 = 3.60.

How do I pay?

To make charging your vehicle as convenient as possible, we provide you with two different ways of paying:

Direct debit

At the end of each charging session or instant reservation, the transaction amount will automatically be debited from your credit card.

Please note that, if your evpass account is in credit, it will be used to collect the transaction amount. If this credit is not sufficient, the remainder will be charged to your credit card.

Prepaid

You can top up your evpass account at any time using the following payment methods:

  • Visa and Mastercard credit cards
  • Postfinance Postcard
  • Maestro debit cards
  • Bank Transfer

Please note that, if you pay by bank transfer, it may take several days to complete the transfer.

At the end of each charging session or instant reservation, the transaction amount will automatically be debited from your evpass account.

Charging

Where can I charge my vehicle?

The charging station map shows you all the charging points that you can access.

You can display the stations that are compatible with your vehicle by using the filters just above the map.

How long will it take me to charge my vehicle?

Charging time depends on several factors, including the vehicle's battery capacity and charging station power.

(Battery capacity) / (Charging station power)

Take the Renault Zoe, for example:

Battery capacity 22 kWh
Charging station power 11 kW
Calculation 22 / 11 = 2 hours

It takes 2 hours to charge a Renault Zoe at an 11 kW charging station.

Roaming

What is roaming?

Charging electric vehicles in roaming mode means that user can charge their vehicles at a charging station outside of their home network (located in the same country or abroad).

Using your evpass account, (depending on the kind of subscription you choose) roaming enables you to access all the public charging stations in Switzerland and more than 33,000 charging stations throughout Europe. This number is constantly rising, along with the growth of public charging networks.

Who can use roaming?

Access to roaming is reserved for subscription-paying members. To become a member, click here.

Who can use roaming?

To start charging your vehicle, you just need to swipe your evpass card or badge over the charging station. You can also initiate charging using the evpass mobile app.

Is the SwissPass card compatible with roaming ?

The SwissPass cards are compatible with evpass. Technically, they also work on networks with which we have a roaming agreement. However it can happen that the charging stations of networks outside evpass are not compatible with the SwissPass cards. In this case, SwissPass users can use the evpass application to use the charging station.

How much does it cost to charge a vehicle with evpass roaming when you are abroad?

The cost of charging can vary a lot, depending on the country and the charging network.

evpass operates two pricing plans:

  • a pricing plan based on the power for charging on other networks inside Switzerland
  • a pricing plan based on the power for charging on other networks when abroad
evpass roaming costs
Power up to 22 kW 50 kW 150 kW
On networks inside Switzerland CHF 0.15/min CHF 0.39/min CHF 0.50/min
On networks outside Switzerland CHF 0.45/min CHF 1.01/min CHF 3.48/min

These prices are subject to change without prior notice, depending on price changes on other charging networks. We advise you to always check the pricing terms and conditions on our website before charging your vehicle.

How can you get assistance when at a charging station when roaming?

You should contact the telephone number for assistance that is usually displayed on the charging station.

Instant reservation

Which stations can be reserved?

If a station can be reserved, you will see the "Reserve" button next to the station's picture.

How do I reserve a station?

If a station can be reserved, you will see the "Reserve" button next to the station's picture. You can choose the duration of your reservation, and the price will be calculated automatically.

You can see the details of your reservation at any time on your dashboard.

How much does a reservation cost?

The station operator is free to set the reservation price, as well as the fine that will be charged to users if they do not use the station that they have reserved. You can view the rate charged at each station via the station map, on the evpass website and in the mobile app.

Please note that parking costs are not included in the charging price.

Is it possible to cancel a reservation?

Yes. You can cancel your reservation at any time via your "Dashboard", provided that it has not already been terminated. You will be billed for your reservation on a pro-rata basis according to its duration, i.e. from the moment you reserve the station until you cancel your reservation.

* We make every effort to ensure that the available information on evpass is kept up-to-date, as this does not happen automatically. Please comply with the parking rules that are in force.
